To live in London, is to play dodgeball.
That’s what it is. No balls included, only humans. In the tube, on the streets. Dodgeball. Massive crowds wait at the lights to turn green to they can charge across the street. All the differing crowds somehow meet, all going in different directions. You have to dodge, hop, skip your way through it.
You’re stepping on lily pads.
If you don’t, a bag will thump into your side. You’ll bang head on into someone. You’ll trip over a suitcase. You won’t get on the tube. You have to be quick and nimble.
I’m slowly mastering the London Dodge.
I probably look ridiculous doing it!
